BPK – How to Play Siren (Tori Amos) Piano/Keyboard
Posted by admin · 25 Comments
Hello. This is a tutorial for Siren by Tori Amos from the Great Expectations soundtrack. It can be a tough song to learn and to teach but everyone here has been so great with nice comments and ratings this year, so I made a video to teach Siren which was the most requested tutorial. I hope it is helpful! I have a video where I play Siren which may help hear how the song comes together: www.youtube.com July was a very productive month for me playing Tori cause I have a video now for almost every song on her albums. The last few will be coming this month (hopefully!). The featured video from July is an original called Her Clinquant Mirror: www.youtube.com It’s inspired by the mystical style of Stevie Nicks and tells a peculiar tale of a woman’s infatuation with a mirror she found, and by extension her own reflection. It somehow twists her, but she is not destroyed. I had fun thinking it through so I hope you enjoy it as well. Thanks to everyone for all the kindness here. Much love, -BPK ————————————————— A full list of songs here is now available at: blog.myspace.com

ah,yeah, you might be right, well, i´ll just have to try it out and see what i can play comfortably with my short fingers ;P yes, exactly, that´s where the name is from *laughs* i loved hatsumomo! (though i have to say, i saw the movie first and it totally ruined the book for me u.u)
You are welcome.
Wow, thank you so much, you are amazingly helpful, thanks for taking the time!
Thank you! I really appreciate this. If it’s helpful at all, I can tell you that the tutorial I have which is best for people at the very entry level is the China tutorial. It’s a song that a lot of new pianists have told me was a nice transition into the instrument to get comfortable playing her. PS – I don’t know if your screen name comes from it but I read Memoirs of a Geisha when I was 19 and I loved it!
